Earlier this year, Spot joined in the fun at family day in Glen Echo Park, celebrating the seasonal opening of the Dentzel Carousel, one of the country’s oldest working carousels. Glen Echo Park is a magical place situated on the Potomac palisades near Bethesda, Maryland.

Now, Adventure Theatre, DC Area’s longest running children’s theatre, will be performing the U.S premiere of Spot's Birthday Party, live on stage at Glen Echo Park from September 17th - November 2nd 2010!

Bring the family along to celebrate Spot's birthday. Spot's friends Tom the crocodile, Helen the hippo and Steve the monkey will be there for the fun, games, songs and magic. Hope to see you there!

OBE for Eric Hill

Eric Hill, the creator of Spot, has received an OBE for services to children's literature.

Eric said: "I am absolutely thrilled and delighted to have received an OBE. Spot has been a huge part of my life for over 25 years and I still very much enjoy the creative process. To be honoured for something that has given me so much pleasure is quite overwhelming."
